High School Students at Parkcrest

Just got an email from Rachel, our High School Pastor, describing some of the things the High School Ministry did this month. Our High Schoolers are awesome. In 1st Timothy it says to not let anyone look down on you for being young, but to set an example for the believers. There is a call on the younger generation to set an example for the rest of us. Here’s some of the ways the younger generation has set that example recently.

They made 42 tie-fleece blankets for the San Carlos Apache Indian children living on a reservation in Globe, AZ. They wrote 750 Christmas cards to missionaries, the elderly of our church and wounded American soldiers. And to top it all off, yesterday they came together and baked/decorated 4,000 cookies and dipped chocolate pretzels for the Christmas Services.

The HS students have stepped up in a big way to serve this holiday season and they aren’t done yet. A group will be in tomorrow morning mixing up some snow and then 30 more are stepping up to serve the refreshments during the different Christmas services.

Way to go High Schoolers!
